Dry Needling

Patients based in Arlington, Bedford, Belmont, Burlington, Billerica, Concord, Lexington, Lincoln, Waltham, Watertown, Winchester, or Woburn can reach Dr. Astapoveh in less than 15 minutes. Click your town for directions.

Dry needling is a therapeutic technique used to treat muscle pain and dysfunction by targeting trigger points—tight knots within muscles that can cause pain, stiffness, and limited movement. Using a thin, sterile needle, a trained practitioner inserts the needle directly into the affected muscle tissue to stimulate a healing response. Unlike acupuncture, which is rooted in traditional Chinese medicine, dry needling is based on modern Western anatomy and science and is commonly used by healthcare professionals to help accelerate healing. Patients often experience immediate relief or improved range of motion after treatment.
