Cold Laser therapy, also known as low level laser therapy, has been proven to be a safe and very effective method to promote healing. The laser device is FDA approved for the treatment of carpal tunnel syndrome and has shown incredible promise for the treatment of other acute and chronic pain conditions.
The treatment uses a low level laser beam (also called cold laser) directed at the area of injury or pain. The laser light increases cellular energy by promoting the production of ATP which is the energy producing compound that keeps cells alive. Many degenerative diseases are associated with low levels of intracellular energy.
Laser therapy has many benefits both short term and long term. In the short term, laser therapy has powerful anti-inflammatory and pain relieving effects. It has been shown to increase blood flow, decrease inflammation, and release endorphins which help to control pain.
Long term effects include faster tissue repair and regeneration. Scientific studies show that tissues can repair themselves once favorable cellular conditions are restored.
Laser therapy is safe and effective. It will decrease pain, enhance your recovery, and help you get back to the life you deserve.
